What Decider stores, and what it doesn't

You do not need an account, and Decider does not ask for your email address. When you vote, the service stores the display name you type, your Yes / Maybe / No answer for each proposed time, and the time you responded.

Your browser also stores a random identifier locally so that returning to the same link lets you edit your own answer instead of creating a second entry. That identifier lives in your browser's local storage; clearing site data removes it, after which the poll will treat you as a new participant.

Everyone who has the poll link can see the display names and votes on that poll. That is the point of a group poll, but it is worth knowing before you type your full name.

Creating a poll requires an account. Signing in with Google, or with an email address and password, stores your email address and, where the provider supplies them, your display name and avatar URL. Authentication is handled by Supabase; Decider never sees your Google password, and email/password credentials are stored hashed by Supabase rather than in readable form.

For each poll you create, the service stores its title, the optional description, the proposed times, an optional meeting link, and which time you confirmed.

The site carries no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts — no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording. Decider records a small set of first-party product events (for example, that a poll was created or a vote was cast), associated with the random browser identifier described above rather than with your name or email.

A poll with no activity for 90 days — no new participants and no new votes — is deleted automatically, and that deletion removes its proposed times, participants and votes with it. Nothing is required from you for this to happen.

Account data is kept while the account exists. Deleting your account removes your profile record.

Decider does not sell personal data and does not share it with advertisers. Data is processed by the infrastructure providers the service runs on — Supabase for the database and authentication, and Cloudflare for hosting and content delivery — acting as processors on our behalf. If you attach a video meeting link, opening that link takes you to the video provider, whose own terms and privacy practices apply from that point.

Poll pages are unlisted and served with a noindex directive, so search engines are instructed not to list them. They are unlisted rather than secret: anyone who has the link can open the poll and vote. Treat the link the way you would treat the meeting invitation itself.

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, export, restrict and delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise any of these by contacting us at kontakt@nightwave.se.

To have a specific poll removed before the 90-day window elapses, send the poll link from the address you used to create it and we will delete it. Guests who want their own name and votes removed from a poll they did not create can ask the organizer to delete it, or write to the same address.
